On the Shores of Silvertide
Legend says that Silvertide was founded when faced with the gravity of Lolth’s betrayal, Corellon himself wept bitter tears, tears which scored and filled the ground of the Faralith Valley with mystic and arcane water, creating what is now the Echoing Lake. Devotees of Corellon routinely make pilgrimages to its shores; there the faithful wade into the water, praying for Corellon’s favor. All who visit the Lake note an extreme sense of melancholy and guilt, as they glimpse the supreme sorrow and bitterness Corellon felt as his brethren were being torn apart. It is said that prayers spoken to the Lake find their way deep into the waters, remaining there to echo and join new pilgrims’ prayers in a chorus to Corellon.
The first founders of Silvertide were devout Clerics and a small group of Paladins of the Order of the Weeping Eye, who found the Echoing Lake after being led there on a quest by an Aspect of Corellon. The leader of the band was Darius Stormseer, the Cleric who first saw Corellon’s Aspect in a dream, prompting the quest.
